Mountain High
If you wish to climb the higher peaks, then this course is for you. Efficiently moving on moderate to steep snow slopes is the focus of this one-day course. Learn proper use of ice axes, movement techniques for ascent and descent, glissading, self-arrest and basic rope management. You may want to choose a second day to attempt one of Colorado's classic snow climbs. One or two days
Mountain Advanced
This three day course provides you with an introduction to a broader spectrum of mountaineering. While the first two days are spent learning safe and efficient rock and snow climbing techniques, the last day is reserved to attempt an ascent of one of Colorado's classic alpine climbs. Three days
Mountain Intense
This multi-day course will teach you a wide variety of skills, techniques and knowledge necessary to safely travel the high mountains on your own. We will cover backcountry camping and "leave no trace" environmental practices, route finding, climbing movements on rock, snow and alpine ice, rope management techniques, gear selection, and hazard assessment.
