Rigorous training, certifications and continued professional development in the craft of ski and mountain guiding (IFMGA), avalanche safety (AIARE, AAA), teaching and training (Masters in Education and Sports) and anything related is the baseline from which I operate. Furthermore, I am a guide out of passion for what I do, for the places I work in and for the people I share these mountains with. My dedication to my guests shines through in the pursuit for providing you not only with the highest industry standards, but also for going the extra Mile to ensure your safe and exciting mountain adventure.
As a professional guide I climb and ski foremost for the enjoyment of my guests and I’m dedicated to providing a unique and most rewarding experience regardless of the nature and difficulty of the tour. Much of my work comes from guests who for many years come back to roam the mountains with me on a regular basis. I value these relationships with my existing clientele and welcome the new ones to become part of my mountain family. After so many years of full-time guiding, the large and continued growing number of returning guests is my testimony.
Even though offering cookie-cutter trips and working with large groups is a more profitable way of doing business, I continue to specialize in custom designed trips and promote small groups. This way the experience is more enjoyable and allows me to adjust to your specific skill sets and interests, maintain a higher degree of flexibility and optimize safety. As life a long mountain traveler and dedicated guide, the mountains have become my lifestyle and to compromise on enjoyment and safety just doesn’t make any sense.
As the founder/owner, I willingly kept Alpine World Adventures a small company consisting of myself and a handpicked network of independent guides. This choice has given me the freedom to work with those guides who not only fulfill industry standards, but also match my philosophy of excellency in profession and attitude. After all, an effective connection between guide and guest - consisting of mutual trust, respect and friendship - is an important ingredient of success in the mountains.
